This weekend, people will have the chance to celebrate Yellow Dog Bookshop’s 9th birthday. From 10 a.m.– 6 p.m Saturday. anyone is welcome to stop by the birthday bash at Yellow Dog.

Starting at 10 a.m. until sold out, there will be surprise book bags available, each with a different theme. From noon-2 p.m. there will be blind date books where Yellow Dog will wrap the books so you cannot see the title, only plot clues. There also will be a lemonade sale provided by the youngest bookseller.

Everything is donation-based at the birthday bash. All proceeds will go to an animal shelter in town; as of Thursday morning it was not clear exactly which shelter would receive the donations.
