Main Squeeze, a plant-based cafe, has taken on new ownership. Main Squeeze has been a treasured staple since 1996, but recently shuttered its kitchen doors, stopping food service and pivoting to a market-style approach to clean eating.

However, owner Leigh Lockhart announced she would be selling Main Squeeze to John Gilbreth and Amanda Rainey, proprietors of Pizza Tree and Goldie’s Bagels. Rainey and Gilbreth plan to reopen the cafe and run food service once again at Main Squeeze.

“I could not have imagined a better way to end my career at Main Squeeze, knowing that it’s in such caring, capable and hard working hands,” Lockhart says in regards to her separation from Main Squeeze.

For updates on the future of Main Squeeze and the resurgence of its cafe, follow Pizza Tree and Goldie’s Bagels.
