Get those cardboard boats ready to race — Float Your Boat is back on Saturday.

The annual spring fundraiser for The Food Bank for Central & Northeast Missouri involves teams constructing boats using only cardboard and duct tape, then racing those contraptions across Bass Pro Shops Lake, 3101 Bass Pro Drive. The event is set for 9 a.m. Saturday. Judging will begin at 10 a.m., short course races at 11 a.m. and long course races at noon, though that time could be changed depending on when the short course races finish.

Proceeds from the event help The Food Bank fulfill its mission of feeding people in their 32-county service area, which includes Boone.
