If you have extra anxiety about needles or vaccines but would like to get the COVID-19 vaccine or booster, there’s a special clinic Saturday that aims to make it easier.

Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services is hosting a COVID-19 Vaccine Comfort Clinic from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at 1005 Worley St. Anyone age 5 and over can receive the vaccine or booster with extra comfort measures available, including anxiety-reducing activities, private rooms for vaccinations, distraction tools and volunteers who are trained in evidence-based child life therapeutic interventions.

The vaccines are free and do not require ID or health insurance to receive during the clinic. Anyone under the age of 18 will need a parental consent form. The clinic is by appointment only, and there were still some appointments available as of Thursday morning.
