After closing up shop in October, the Boone County Missouri Farmers Market is reopening to the public. On May 6, the Boone County market will have its opening day from 8 a.m.-noon in the Columbia Mall parking lot near Dillards.

According to a post on Facebook, opening day will include homegrown tomatoes, local pork and beef, free-range brown eggs, cupcakes, cookies, gooey butter cake, kettle corn, dog chews, succulents, trees, vegetable plants, herb plants and flowering plants.

Starting May 6, the market will be open every Saturday from 8 a.m.-noon through Oct. 28. The market will also be open from 3 p.m.-6 p.m. on Thursdays during July-September in the parking lot at the Forum Christian Church.

The Boone County Farmers Market does accept cash, checks, credit and debit cards. For more information, visit boonecountyfarmers.com.
