A familiar favorite pizza joint has officially closed its doors in Columbia. Papa Murphy’s, located on West Broadway, closed its doors for the last time on Oct. 31.
According to its Facebook page, Papa Murphy’s closed permanently due to rising costs and staffing issues. However, even while announcing the sad news, the post ended by thanking Columbia.
“We have loved serving the Columbia area,” the post stated. “With rising costs and staffing issues we just cannot keep the store open any longer.”
Papa Murphy’s is a nationwide chain that features take and bake pizzas. With the closure, the closest Papa Murphy’s franchise is now located in Jefferson City.
