The 17th annual Miracles For Kids Radiothon has officially started. For two days, this radiothon, put on by Zimmer Communications and the Missouri Credit Union, will raise funds to cover the costs lifesaving equipment and support programmatic needs at MU Health Care’s Children’s Hospital.

The radiothon is from 6 a.m.-6 p.m. today and Friday. To donate, just text “MIRACLE” to 51555 or visit mizzougivedirect.missouri.edu. Throughout the radiothon, you can also call the Big O Tires Phonebank to donate at 1-866-970 GIVE (4483).

Zimmer Communications first partnered with MU Health Care’s Children’s Hospital 16 years ago and put on its first-ever two-day radiothon to raise money for needed equipment and to cover the cost of treatment for patients. Together with local sponsors, more than $3.2 million has been raised over the past 16 years.

MU Health Care’s Children’s Hospital provides the highest quality care for children throughout Missouri, regardless of a family’s ability to pay, and all donations raised during the Radiothon will stay in mid-Missouri.
