Capital City Festival of Lights is a bright spot

By Inside Columbia

Although many Columbia light displays are over, you can still enjoy a drive-thru light park in Jefferson City. The Capital City Festival of Lights is open from 6 to 9 p.m. (except on Monday) now through the end of the year. All $20 (per vehicle) entry fees benefit local charities, Homemaker Health Care and Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Homemaker Health Care (HHC) is a local nonprofit organization created over 40 years ago in order to assist those in need. It’s a United Way agency partner that strives to provide items such as hospital beds, bedside toilets, walkers and wheelchairs to local seniors. HHC is in Jefferson City, however they are able to assist seniors in several local counties including Moniteau, Miller, Cole, Callaway and Osage.
