Don’t miss a fun fundraiser for a great cause! The 16th annual MFA Oil Rootin’ Tootin’ Chili Cookoff, presented by JES Holdings, is Saturday, March 5, at the Holiday Inn Expo Center. Tenacious teams (including one from Zimmer Communications!) will compete for several honors — all to raise money to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Columbia.
If you’re saying, “bean there, done that,” please reconsider! Every year is different and features new teams, new recipes and even more elaborate, involved and over-the-top booths. Plus, it’s a really worthwhile cause.
Zimmer’s 96.7 KCMQ Classic Rock’s on-air talents Shags and Trevor will emcee the event. Not to brag, but the Zimmer team has quite an accomplished track record including: second place for grand chili champion in 2016, third place for People’s Choice in 2018, second place for People’s Choice, as well as first place for best costumes in 2019.
