Show off your skills this Friday at the Columbia Public Library’s After-Hours Open Mic night. From 7-9 p.m., participate or sit back and watch as the community performs.
The library will set up one vocal mic, a guitar amp and a guitar if you cannot bring your own. All other additional sound equipment will need to be brought by the performer. The space will also be open to acoustic playing if preferred. Then, for eight whole minutes, the mic is yours, whether you want to sing multiple songs, read numerous poems or perform something short, as you are not required to take up the whole time slot.
Participants can register before the event using the Google doc, or if you decide to perform after arriving, check in with the hosts for in-person signups. For more information on this open mic night, click here.
