The University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine hosts the 37th annual Gentle Doctor Benefit at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Holiday Inn Expo Center.
This year’s event theme is Bright Future and will include a social hour, dinner, silent auction and live auction, along with multiple raffles. The silent auction opened Tuesday. The night begins at 5 p.m. with a social hour and silent auction. Dinner is served at 6:30 p.m. with the program beginning and the silent auction closing at 6:50 p.m. At 7:30 p.m., the live auction and raffle tickets close. The live auction and raffle ticket winners are announced at 8 p.m.
Funds and donations raised support the college’s scholarship fund for veterinary medicine students as they progress through school. According to the registration site, “The interest from the endowment provides significant scholarships to two incoming students. Additionally, the college provides $100 scholarships to each member of the incoming class.”
