The annual Heritage Festival and Craft show is returning to Nifong Park in Columbia this weekend., offering a chance to travel back in time. The free, historical festival put on by Columbia Parks and Recreation has entertainment ranging from traditional tradesmen demonstrating lost arts to a handmade craft show with more than 70 vendors. There also will be evening ghost stories, hayrides, cowboys, great food and more.
The festival is set for 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Nifong Park, 3700 Ponderosa St.
The Boone County History & Culture Center will be open during festival hours, with a cold root beer sale, air conditioning, a book store and free exhibits. For more information on stage schedules and activities, click here.
