This weekend is the start of the 2022 Show-Me State Games in Columbia. The Show-Me State Games, a nonprofit program hosted by the University of Missouri, seeks to provide all Missourians the opportunity to participate in activities of health, fitness, family and fun.

Week one of the games starts on Friday and runs through Sunday. Last year, the 2021 summer games offered more than 40 sports and more than 15,000 participants, with representation from 112 counties in Missouri.

The Show-Me State Games is now a year-round event in addition to the summer games. Throughout the year, there are several competitions including, Hoopin’ It Up Basketball and Winter Blast ISI Skating competition in January, along with Spring Slam Volleyball in March and Soccerfest in June.

Week two of the summer games is scheduled for July 29-31. For more information about the Show-Me State Games, visit smsg.org.
