Jordan Durham has had a lifelong love for storytelling. This includes 15 years in various editing, publishing and writing roles, most of which have been while living in Columbia. After receiving her English and journalism degrees from the University of Missouri, she earned her master’s degree in poetry. She’s earned numerous awards for her poetry and written for publications such as Forbes and Entrepreneur. Jordan’s love for magazine journalism brings her to Inside Columbia, where she wants everyone to feel at home in its pages. Outside of work, you can find her cycling on the Katy Trail, gardening, reading, watching the Chicago Cubs or drinking an IPA. She also volunteers with Columbia’s Adopt-A-Spot program and the Missouri Coalition for the Environment. Jordan is too competitive for her own good. People generally are surprised to find that she is a good pool player. She’ll challenge them just for being surprised.
