Car-“toon” Into This!

By Inside Columbia

This event from the MU Concert Series at Jesse Hall on April 19 at 7 p.m. is sure to tickle your funny bone and possibly take you on a trip down memory lane. The Queen’s Cartoonists play music from classic cartoons and contemporary animation. Learn more about the event here.

Throughout history, cartoonists have often given us a good guffaw. Or made us think seriously.  Many are categorized as “political,” as are some here in Columbia. We are fortunate to have  seen the work of several incredible cartoonists, such as Chet Gould, who penned the iconic comic strip “Dick Tracy,” (immortalized at Ernie’s cafe.) As well as John Darkow, a regular contributor to Inside Columbia magazine as well as the Columbia Missourian.
