This weekend, join the University of Missouri and the city of Columbia to remember the lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001. In recognition of Patriot Day, Mizzou is hosting a wreath-laying ceremony from 1-2 p.m. Sunday on Francis Quadrangle. Members of the public are invited to attend.

The ceremony will include a procession, wreath laying, presentation of the colors by the Joint Services Color Guard and City Honor Guards, and a flyover by the MU Health care helicopter. Columbia Mayor Barbara Buffaloe and University of Missouri President Mun Choi also will give remarks.

The ceremony will finish with the Joint Services Color Guard retiring the colors. If there is inclement weather, the event will be held in Jesse Hall Rotunda, 409 Conley Ave. For more information, visit the event page on Facebook.
