The Penguin Piano Bar & Nightclub Returning to Columbia

Coming,Soon

After being closed since 2020, The Penguin Piano Bar & Nightclub is returning. According to an announcement on Facebook, the beloved bar plans to reopen its doors in 2024.

According to its website, The Penguin closed its doors in 2020 due to the pandemic. “In 2020, our city imposed strict pandemic-related restrictions and offered no assistance or relief to the businesses affected. In turn, we were forced to close,” the website says.

Now, more than three years later, the business says it’s not only coming back but adding new additions to the beloved space. “The Penguin 2.0 will feature a full restaurant,” a post on Facebook says. While the reopening date has not been released, the community can visit The Penguin on Facebook to stay up-to-date on all the changes. “It’s very real, we’ll keep you posted on the details,” the post says.
