The Vaccine Scene

By Inside Columbia

As of Jan. 19, the city’s COVID tracker/update reported there were 3,298 active COVID cases in Boone County. MU Health Care, Boone Health, Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services and local pharmacies are working together to vaccinate our community based on guidance from county, state and federal health officials. There are three vaccine clinics coming up at MU, starting with one today, Jan. 20, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Student Center, and two others to follow at different locations on different dates: Tuesday, Jan. 25, from 11 a.m.–3 p.m. at the Memorial Union, room N214B, and the third clinic Tuesday, Feb. 1, from 10:30 a.m.–1 p.m.  at Hearnes Center, East Concourse.

Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and J&J vaccines and booster shots are available.

Everyone is strongly encouraged to get vaccinated, get a booster if applicable and also to get a flu shot. Learn more here.
