roller derby thrill seekers guide to mid missouri

Roll into spring with CoMo Roller Derby’s season opener! Not one, but two games will be played from 4:30-9 p.m. on Saturday, March 23 at the Bob LeMone Building on the Hallsville Community Fairgrounds.

Doors will open at 3:30 p.m. for the first game with CoMo B-Rolls versus St. Chux Derby Chix starting at 4:30 p.m. The second game will be CoMo’s A Team lineup versus the Arch Rival Fleur-de-Linquents beginning at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $15 for both bouts or $10 for the second. The event includes free admission for children under the age of 10. A raffle will also be occurring with 50% of the proceeds benefitting the City of Refuge. Shrunken Head Mobile Bar & Tropical Drinks will be providing alcohol for those 21 and older, and Twisters Hockey League will provide an all-ages concession stand.

The event is also looking for referees. The Facebook post states, “If you’re interested in working with CoMo roller derby as a referee, non-skating official, on-site EMT, or season sponsor, message us directly and we’ll hook you up!”
