The latest COVID-19 surge and severe winter weather present further risks to the blood supply. Many patients who postponed surgeries are now due to undergo their procedures, and many may require a blood transfusion. In addition, there has already been a spate of serious or fatal car crashes this year. If more donors don’t come forward to give blood or platelets, some patients requiring a transfusion may not receive it, and may not make it. Your help is needed ASAP!
