Wild & Scenic Film Festival Kicks Off Festival Season in Columbia

The Missouri Coalition for the Environment is hosting the Wild & Scenic Film Festival from 1-4:30 p.m. Sunday at The Blue Note.

These short films explore matters regarding climate change, preserving natural spaces and protecting wildlife. The festival is a national event hosted by different organizations.

According to MCE’s website, they are “Missouri’s independent, citizens’ environmental organization for clean water, clean air, clean energy, and a healthy environment. We are a trusted, non-partisan, 501(c)(3) environmental advocacy organization, dependable source, and state-wide partner supporting allied organizations and initiatives throughout Missouri. We deliver vital information to thousands of Missourians on issues that affect our water, air, food, health and environment.”

Tickets for the event are $50 for VIP, which includes reserved table seating, drink tickets and snacks; $20 general admission and $10 for attendees ages 16 and under. Doors open at 1 p.m. with films starting at 1:30 p.m.
